NHS Sussex has created its first unified outcomes data set across five community musculoskeletal providers, giving teams a clearer view of patient outcomes, experience, and service value.

With support from Cemplicity’s digital platform, NHS Sussex moved beyond fragmented, paper-based collection to capture patient insight at scale. In the first 12 months, the programme gathered more than 24,000 unique survey responses, achieving a 54% completion rate at the start of the patient journey and 35% during and beyond intervention — a significant step up from previous paper-based response rates as low as 5%.

The result is better visibility, stronger evidence for improvement, and a scalable foundation for more integrated, value-based MSK care.
